Mardi Gras Fundraiser 2020

Main Street Lawrenceburg’s annual Mardi Gras fundraiser dinner was a huge success! The party was held on Saturday, March 14, at Society American Nosherie on the Downtown Square. A cajun themed dinner was served prepared by Society American Nosherie with salad bar, chicken & andouille gumbo, crawfish étouffée, chicken creole, roasted root veggies, cajun red skin potatoes & corn, and king cake for dessert.

Entertainment for the event was provided by 2 local bands, Overdrive and Mojorising. The event began with dinner at 6:00pm, Overdrive band playing from 7:00-8:00pm, Mojorising band playing 8:00-10:00pm and Silent Auction running 6:00-9:00pm.

The purpose of the event was to show support for Downtown Lawrenceburg and help raise funds for new picnic tables and trash cans for around the green of the square center, as well as sound upgrades to the gazebo.

We would like to make sure our community is aware that Main Street is for EVERYONE. This is our downtown. We are the people that make the downtown great and successful. Without community support, downtown Lawrenceburg cannot thrive. It is our responsibility to help promote and protect our downtown for the present and our future.

Mardi Gras 2020 was a successful night and we can’t wait until Mardi Gras 2021.
