What is Downtown Threads & Tags?

Downtown Threads & Tags is a community design challenge hosted by the Lawrenceburg Downtown Association—celebrating the creativity, pride, and talent in our town. We're calling on local artists, students, and inspired residents to design the next official:

  • Downtown Lawrenceburg T-Shirt ("Threads")

  • Downtown Lawrenceburg Sticker ("Tags")

Whether you're a doodler, designer, or just full of local love, this is your chance to create something that sticks—literally!

Why Enter?

  • $200 Prize for the winning T-Shirt Design

  • $75 Prize for the winning Sticker Design

  • Winning designs will be featured on official downtown merchandise

Help design the official Downtown Lawrenceburg t-shirt! Whether you're a local artist, creative student, or someone who just loves this town, we want to see your style on display. This is your chance to make something that represents the heart of the 'Burg—and gets worn with pride.

👕 What We're Looking For:

We’re looking for a bold, original t-shirt design that captures the spirit, personality, or visual charm of Downtown Lawrenceburg. The design can be funny, nostalgic, artsy, or abstract—just make sure it’s original and yours.

🏆 Prize

  • $200 Cash Prize

  • Your design printed on official Downtown Lawrenceburg t-shirts

  • Public recognition

🖌️ Design Guidelines

  • Must be original artwork (no AI-generated, stock, or copied material)

  • Design should represent or be inspired by Downtown Lawrenceburg

  • Max 3 colors (to allow for easy screen printing)

  • Design should be scalable (works at both small and large sizes)

  • Keep it appropriate for all ages and general public use

Recommended File Types: PNG, JPG, PDF, or vector files (AI, EPS). High-resolution preferred.

Submissions Must Include:

  • Your Full Name

  • Contact Info

  • Age (if under 18, include parent/guardian name)

  • Design Title or Description (optional)

Submission Deadline: 05/09/2025

🗳️ How the Winner is Chosen

  • A panel from the Downtown Lawrenceburg Board will select finalists based on creativity, originality, and local relevance.

  • Finalists will be shared for a public vote via social media platforms between 05/15/2025 and 05/31/2025.

  • The design with the most votes wins!

⚠️ Legal & Usage Rights

By submitting, you grant Downtown Lawrenceburg non-exclusive rights to use your design for merchandise, promotion, and marketing purposes. You will always be credited as the original designer where applicable.

  • 2D designs only; suitable for printing as a sticker

  • Shape can be circular, square, or custom die-cut friendly

  • Make sure the design works at small sizes (typically 2"–4")

  • Family-friendly content only
