Ann Allison Ventures is excited to announce that they have been selected as the recipients of a $300,000 Tennessee Historic Development Grant to restore and preserve 8 and 9 Public Square. These historical contributing buildings, originally housing Pepper’s Market and the Joe Hershkowitz Store, are integral to the history and story of Downtown Lawrenceburg. While this project is a huge undertaking, this pilot grant program created by Governor Bill Lee and his dedicated team, allows the local investors to make necessary and beneficial improvements while also restoring these amazing buildings to their historical beauty and allow them to be used again.

The project, now funded with a one to three match grant, has already begun on the buildings at 8 and 9 Public Square in Lawrenceburg and will be documented throughout. The building will be named Buchanan’s Corner; to honor the original owner. At this time, local investors Ann Allison Ventures are focusing on the rehabilitation and design and will announce future occupants through their social media outlets.
