🎉 Downtown Lawrenceburg Launches Tee’d Up Downtown With Help from AARP Community Challenge Grant

It’s official: Downtown Lawrenceburg has been Tee’d Up! On July 22, community leaders, neighbors, and a crew of putter-wielding champions joined AARP representatives on the square to unveil Tee’d Up Downtown, a brand-new pop-up mini golf experience made possible through a $10,000 Community Challenge Grant from AARP.

Downtown Lawrenceburg was selected as one of just 383 grantees out of more than 3,450 applicants nationwide—and now we’re bringing the fun to the fairways (and sidewalks) right in the heart of our historic square.

The Tee’d Up Downtown course is designed to promote movement, laughter, and connection for residents and visitors of all ages. Each of the 9 holes includes a unique themed obstacle and scorecards to track your game. The course is totally free to play and will be available during special events and throughout the summer and fall season.

“This grant allows us to bring something joyful, unexpected, and interactive to our downtown,” said Michele Gantz, Downtown Lawrenceburg’s Executive Director. “It’s not just about mini golf. It’s about making our square a place where everyone—whether they’re five or ninety-five—can come and have a moment of connection and community.”

The project is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which supports efforts to make public spaces safer, more walkable, and more inclusive for people of all ages, with a special focus on residents aged 50 and over.

Tee’d Up Downtown is another step in Downtown Lawrenceburg’s mission to create an engaging, unforgettable small-town experience. So grab your putter, follow the flags, and come play a round. The course is open this afternoon and evening—because in Lawrenceburg, the swings are mini but the vibes are mighty.
